(QSAN) a leading storage technology designer and manufacturer, extends its technology partnership with Western Digital to support the Ultrastar® Data102 hybrid storage platform, which is a fully redundant hybrid 4U JBOD disk enclosure, as an extreme density expansion solution of QSAN’s XCubeSAN series storage.
Unprecedented Storage Capacity and Flexibility
The Ultrastar Data102 supports up to 102 HDDs, as well as hybrid support with up to 24 SSDs for a data acceleration tier. By connecting up to four expansion units with Ultrastar Data102, XCubeSAN will reach up to 6.1PB of raw storage in an 18U rack space, providing extreme flexibility to specify the HDD and SSD combinations to balance capacity, performance, and cost.
